"Rose of Versaille" or "Lady Oscar" like it is called in Germany. When I was young (perhaps 10 or 12 years ago) the show was shown on TV 2 or 3 times. But than the TV-Station sold the lisence and the people are waiting up to today for a repeat.
It's a great series with a unique plot and nice characters. It's also one of the sadest series I've seen so far.
